World of Peace

Welcome to a big idea: All UWC's united in song.

More than ever school kids of all ages are grappling with the idea of war. What does it mean? How close is it? Should I be worried? What can I do? Many students lack a meaningful outlet to express their feelings. The 'World of Peace' project aims to change that by fostering a unifying experience that encourages students to come together and actively promote peace in their own communities.

It's more than just a "feel-good song" to sing as it challenges listeners to acknowledge the world around them, notice conflict and make a deliberate choice to take positive action for peace..... and this is why we are reaching out to all our UWC Schools.

UWC Day 2025: World of Peace project

For this year’s UWC Day 2025 celebrations, we present ‘The World of Peace' project, a unifying initiative that encourages UWC students, UWC alumni and National committee members to come together and actively promote peace in their own communities.

Calling all UWC Schools, All Age Groups!

If you are a musician at a UWC school, alumni group, or national committee member please follow the steps below and join this global initiative. You can sing, play, dance, video, clap your hands or share in any way you can. Any instrument from your culture, any message of peace sung to our tune, is welcome. We will include you in our mix and video celebrating this FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND achievement. What a riot!

We launched our project at UWCSEA (Dover) a few months ago with a goal to have all 18 UWC schools participate. We have sent various emails and notices out to schools but getting our message to everyone has been a real challenge. At the moment an amazing 8 schools have signed on with us and we reach out to you as a member of the final 10 for join in with us.

The contributions so far have been outstanding. Wonderful performances from across the world make our recording so much better.

Any willing musician at a UWC school is welcome to record and send us their version of our song. We accept all contributions. All the details of the project are included at the bottom of the page

Thank you in advance for helping us unite the schools.
