Oct 2 2024:

Time for some rewrites. After some useful feedback from Hayes Theatre Co. in Sydney I am back in editing mode. The rules of this universe are quite different as the story blends letters and music together in an unusual way. My goal is to edit it to a 75-80 min fully scored experience. I'm going to double down on the format and I expect the rewrite to take until May-June work permitting. A big thanks goes out to the supporters at Hayes Theatre who have provided me with good advice and the energy to move forward.

Rewrites are completed and not completed

June 6 2025:

After some good feedback from a dramaturg the script has been enriched I think. Stage directions tell more of a story and help the reader with visualisation. Its become more sophisticated also so there is more going on. A new song has been added, stakes higher etc.

Sept 18 2025:

After some reflection I have deleted about half of the script and I am much happier with the new ideas. Its more real and humble. I got lost somewhat in grand ideas (for some reason) and found my way back. I am satisfied for now. I am now re-recording the songs with just a simple piano and strings accompaniment. Then we can do some table reads.
